This program is open ONLY to active duty US Army Veterinary Corps Officers. The training sites include the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, the U. S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, U. S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute, and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Traditional laboratory animal species as well as non-human primates, as well as some exotics and farm animals comprise the animal populations.
