Overview of the program | A 10-12 week summer research externship may be available for veterinary students. The program provides students with practical research experience. Students will complete a summer research project in the field of virology with a DCM faculty mentor. Externs will also participate in veterinary service rounds, clinical veterinary meetings and weekly collaborative didactic training through the Research Triangle Laboratory Animal Training Program (RTLATP), as time allows. Externs will be expected to present their research at a DCM departmental meeting. A stipend will be provided from departmental funds. |
