The American Society of Laboratory Animal Practitioners with several funding partners is supporting 10–12-week Summer Fellowships in Laboratory Animal Medicine. Please join us for a Virtual Info Session to learn more! Each session will allow you to learn about 5 of the programs.
Last year, Transnetyx established the Darrell E. Hoskins, DVM, DACLAM Memorial Research Grant in recognition of Darrell’s contributions to the field of laboratory animal science and to celebrate the warm friendship and continual support he provided to those in the field, as well as all those around him. Through the program, two $10,000 grants are awarded each year to “accelerate advances in animal welfare and the 3Rs through original research conducted by veterinary trainees in laboratory animal medicine.” Applications are now being accepted (through January 15, 2025) for the 2025-2026 award cycle.

This program is intended to highlight the practice of laboratory animal medicine by supporting veterinary students and laboratory animal medicine residents/trainees who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field to attend the National AALAS meeting.
The 2024 Charles River Prize for Laboratory Animal Science Charles River is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 47th annual Charles River Prize. This award will be presented in Nashville, TN at the 75th American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) National Meeting, November 3-7, 2024. The Charles River Prize, consisting of a suitably inscribed plaque and a $3,500 honorarium, is awarded to a veterinarian in recognition of his/her outstanding contributions to laboratory animal science and medicine.
