The Board of Directors (BOD) of the ASLAP Foundation would like to announce the availability of the Request for Application (RFA) for the 2024 Summer Fellowship program. The RFA and Review Criteria can be found here along with the checklist used by the BOD in the review of each proposal.  

The ASLAP Foundation is incorporated in the State of Illinois and is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide awards and scholarships to veterinary students who have demonstrated an interest in the practice of laboratory animal medicine.

The ASLAP Foundation summer fellowship program is intended to provide the student with a 10-12 week concentrated exposure to the practice of laboratory animal medicine that combines both didactic and experiential training. The emphasis of the training is expected to be focused in the areas of clinical laboratory animal medicine and program/facility management. The fellowship program will provide up to $5,000 to support the salary of the summer student.

The deadline for submitting applications is October 6, 2023, with awards made by November 22, 2023. For questions concerning the fellowship program contact Sally Westlake at sally@aslap.org.
